I was 8 years old, and wasn’t too thrilled about donning what I thought was a majorly nerdy pair of specs, but when I put them on, I couldn’t believe the detail the world had to offer that I’d been missing. Seeing individual leaves of trees from a distance, seeing distinct edges to the clouds…

Amazing. Still one of my best memories, 17 years later.

The amount of time you knew her hardly matters as it only took a moment for her pawprint to be indelibly inscribed on your heart. We all loved her because she was a part of you just as we will love the next puppy you rescue. Rest easy and get better and know that you made a huge difference in Scottie’s little life. She had more love in her two weeks than many have in a lifetime and she was learning trust. Both huge gifts for a little girl. Big hugs for you and Vinnie.

Poor little Scottie. So lucky to have you loving her. You have every reason to be heart broken. I wish it wasn’t so terribly painful, but there you have it. We’ve lost two rescued puppies after only a couple of months each in the 4 years we’ve been here. Maya and Cowgirl. . We know how much it hurts. Big Hug.
