I never thought I’d be making THIS particular announcement, but I have recently gotten engaged. M. and I have been together for 8.5 years and while it has not always been easy or perfect, he has shown himself to be the most loyal, caring, and patient person I’ve ever met. Over the last year, I have struggled mightily with serious depression and as a result, he has seen me at my absolute worst and lowest points and has never once faltered. I would be foolish to let this one get away from me.
And so I said “yes.” We will be marrying in Playa del Carmen in May of 2010.
Oh oh, big giant congrats from me! I wish you guys so much happiness. If you’ve got one as good as he sounds, you’ve got to hang on to him!
And girl, you know that I totally feel for you with the depression, and as hard as it is to reach out for help when yo are that low, please know that I am always here for you. I know, I’m practically a stranger, but sometimes that’s a good thing ya know. Big hugs amiga.

Congratulations! I couldn’t be happier for someone I have never met, but has made me laugh more times than some people I’ve known for a life time! You make a lovely couple, but mostly I noticed in your picture that you seem peaceful together. Life will never be perfect and everyone has their battles just remember that when it’s not an easy day you’re not alone and you BOTH have each other to draw strength from. Try not to let the planning stress you out. I was married in Cabo 7/14/07 and I’m still waking up with night sweats from trying to plan a wedding with a coordinator that spoke very little English. LOL!
