I’ve told you before about Local H, my friend Scott’s band. Well, I’m here to talk to you about them again because they’ve got a long US tour coming up and I thought some of you might like to see a rock show. I know I would, but I’m trapped down here in Jimmy Buffet and Bob Marley hell (no offense to reggae fans, ’cause I like some reggae, but damn! I get sick of it.) (you Jimmy Buffet fans are on your own, though, ’cause I just cannot get behind the “Cheeseburger in Paradise” stuff. Sorry).
Tour dates and locations are listed here.
I’m probably going to get in trouble for doing another “proud mom” post, but I don’t give a shit, Scott. I AM proud and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
If any of you go to the show, make it a point to mention my name to Scott…he’ll LOVE that. I’ll buy you a beer if you do it. Really. I’ve got PayPal and know how to use it.
Oh man. Local H is good stuff. I thought they had just disbanded, though?

No, they’re still together. Unless it happened this morning and Scott just hasn’t told me yet.
About like 11 years ago, Brian St. Clair joined the band as drummer, in place of Joe Daniels, who left.
Is that what you mean? don’t scare me.

This older lady LOVES it. Reminds me a little of The Pursuit of Happiness, a band who are no longer together. My favorite song of theirs is Cigarette Dangles.

Yay! They’ll be in Tempe while Josh is on leave. I’ll totally take Josh to a concert while he’s home right after we get back from visiting you. If I find a way to say hi to Scott of course I’ll mention you.

LOVE, LOVE, “Born to be Down”, “All Right Oh Yeah” and so many others. I’ve seen them a couple of times at Metro and Double Door and what I remember about them is thet they are sooo down to earth. They are like the Wallflores, they have no ego at all. That is very refreshing and you don’t find it often.

Darla: I’ve never heard of that band, I’ll have to google them. Thanks!
Teetle: He will remember you, even if he doesn’t recognize you at first. He’s only been seeing you since you were 7 years old.
Velvet: Glad to hear you’re a fan! You’re right about Scott and Brian, totally cool, laid-back guys. Brian might be slightly more approachable at times than Scott, but neither of them are egomaniacal dickwads, that’s for sure.

I hope he remembers me. Wasn’t it at an after party for them when I was like 16 I threw up in the corner of a bar. How embarrassing. I remembered that yesterday. I talked to Josh and he’s excited to go, I’ve played him some of their songs before and he likes them. I’ll def be buying tickets this week. Also need to go buy their newest cd since I don’t know any new stuff. I spend yesterday cleaning while listening to him.

Teetle: Yep, it was at Liar’s Club. John and I were so proud of you. Haha!
