I’m so looking forward to the Cubs having their act together tonight.

And, I don’t know if I should be happy or not… I thought I was the only one who had the “Cubs lose every time I go” curse. Yikes!

imagine being the only Cubs faithful in Los Angeles as my neighbors jump around my home yelling Go Doyers! Trust me the real fans here can’t pronounce dodgers. I felt so alone when Loney hit the grand slam. I was mad. I was sad. And then Alex, my five year old jumped into his dodger-loving mother’s lap and screamed nonsensically in her ear because he was mad at her for cheering against the Cubbies. Then he shouted “the Cubbies are… (he searched his kindergarten-inspired vocabulary) sucking… it.. at the Dodgers!”

He turned to me and grinned proudly for having so boldly defended our team, and suddenly I didn’t feel so alone any more.
