Today when I was telling Michael all about how clever I am for posting the picture of the house on fire to describe how well Elizabeth, Lisa, and I hit it off immediately on Friday night at the Blogger’s Bash, he kind of shook his head sadly. “You have to explain that,” he said. “No one is going to get the reference.”
So because of past misunderstandings (oh poor, poor misunderstood me!) I’m all paranoid and want to make clear that what I meant is that I REALLY, REALLY liked them, and we got on all great and shit.
In fact: we got on like a house afire.

if two people get on like a house on fire, they like each other very much and become friends very quickly. ex: I was worried that they wouldn’t like each other, but in fact they’re getting on like a house on fire.

I think that Michael is pretty good at pushing your buttons. He and I may have to have a chat…..so I can learn which buttons to push.
And in case you think I didn’t get it, remember that I get (as in understand) sick and twisted things…….like having visions of swerving into oncoming traffic in my car.
